Drawing inspiration from Fender's final year of pre-CBS production, the Fender Custom Shop '64 exudes the timeless charm of golden-age Fender style. The foundation is laid with a vintage-appropriate 2-piece select alder body, complemented by two Custom Shop hand-wound Texas Special pickups, delivering a reimagined, higher-output take on the well-established Tele chime. On the opposing spectrum, a quarter-sawn maple neck seamlessly blends vintage and modern elements, featuring a substantial '60s oval "C" shape, an exquisite round-lam rosewood fingerboard, 21 narrow-tall frets, and a contemporary 9.5-inch radius. Catering to the preferences of old-school Telecaster enthusiasts, the guitar boasts a period-correct '64-'66 threaded steel-saddle bridge and iconic slotted Fender tuning machines. The finishing touch is a classic Fender Custom Shop nitrocellulose Relic finish, eliminating over half a century's worth of break-in time!
